Mud puppies? Anyone know?

I'm desperate for a mud puppy! Well, actually my sister!
Anyways, I'm located in Vancouver, anyone know where I can find one?
Or anyone even know what this is, here's the picture! Please let me know what the heck this is and what I even do with it?

This is actually a salamander but it never morphs into what a normal salamander looks like. There pretty cool, I used to have one.

I don't know were to buy one, I see them on rare occasions at the LFS. You might want to see if you LFS can order you one. You could search online but I dont know if anyone would want to ship one of these.

Yep it's an axolotl. We have two called Axton and Michael. They are available everywhere here in NZ.

I have not seen one anywhere here for at least 7-8 years now!

They are quite cool. My son has them in a 3ft tank in his room. They become quite tame and they eat out of our hands. We got ours for about $20 I think.

The more you say it, the more I hate you now! LOL!
My sister is desperate for one, that's the only creature that lives in water that she likes! and there are absolutely NONE in any fish store! It's even rare to find a RTC in the fish shop, I've only seen it once and they had 4 and it wuz at a ridiculous price. And as for the giant gourami, I've only seen it once past my years of going to LFS, i paid a ridiculous price for that as well!
