I will tomorrow....I have a marineland canister filter c-360 hooked up to it right now........I am not going to spend any money on my 30 gallon because I just priced out my $90 equpit. and I am looking at $4,000 unless I can find some miracle DIY solution. I'll just keep the water really clean in my 30. He's a messy eater.

Yes. Try Craigslist. Or buy the parts and build it yourself. $4000 would set up at least 200 FW tanks. Use sturdy old furniture with a foam cushion under the tank instead of buying a stand. There's a ton of things you can rig. I can't imagine $4000 unless you're looking at a brand new tank with a brand new stand and a brand new everything else.

Good to hear your puff is okay... but to answer your question about puffing, some puffers do just puff randomly as if they were "stretching", or sometimes its due to stress etc...

But as most have mentioned here nitrates as high as 90 is really too high for a puffer, since they are scaleless fish... either way, i'm not here to knock you down, just wanted to let you know some small facts about puffers and puffing...

Eitherway, good luck with your puff and hopefully it will hold out till you get your 90G setup...
