Ok that's fine, but I would still recommend making a list then posting them all up at once so you can get quicker feedback for them all at once rather than then all over a day.

They should be fine but with all cichlids I would still keep a close eye during the beggining part of introducing the 2

I would probably introduce the bichir first, but that's depending on the size of both fish

+1, cichlids are jerks imo lol, just make sure fins aren't being nipped.

When they are young they have external gills to help them get oxygen while their swim bladder develops
