I decided while looking at other fishroom threads it is probably a lot easier to just update one thread with all DIY, breeding and other aquatic projects. I will also have a place to share pics of things that don't fit in other threads necessarily.

So here are some pics in no order just posting.

The fishroom as it grew

Added a stand for the 75gal and added the paludarium and cube. I also got more 10 gals on the first rack.

Then I added a rack into the gap between racks with custom tanks. This was a mission.

The guppy breeding rack

So as it stands I have
30 tanks at home
3 tanks at work.

I have focused mostly on rheophilic species and tanks as well as guppies, especially speartails.

The cube tank and some fish that have been in it.
The initial lay out

Then changed to what it is now. Made a matten filter corner unit and have a hidden guppy breeding box as an external "refugium" to allow critters to grow and flow into the tank.

The guppies have now been moved. The pygmy cories remain. Not sure what i will add but think nano cyprinids.

Panda garra - firmly becoming one of my favorite species

My sole surviving Rhinogobius rubromaculatus - Red Spot Rhinogobius. She is happily plodding along in the Sewellia growout tank now.

Gaztromyzon ctenocephalus. Had this group of 5 now for ages and no breeding. But have a planaria issue I am sure is exacerbating the issue.

Bought a pair of dwarf cichlids. And if I won't be damned another shop got it wrong as well and bagged 2 females!
I think they are A. macmasteri. I am trying to get back to the shop this week before the male sells.

As I have 2 female macmasteri, I decided to use 2 tanks for breeding. The male can travel between towns for some action. As soon as he gets hen pecked I will move him to the other tank.
Small Tank.
Just a sponge filter
Bare bottom
Leaf litter and 2 caves. Also a small container of small gravel

Tank B
Previously a guppy colony tank. Moved them. Now houses 10 Cory pygmaes, line eye spot rasbora and 8 yellow shrimp.
The female macmasteri in here needed some time to fatten up so the male went to the other tank first.

Cleaned the hillstream sump. It was waaaay overdue.
It was worsened by being away and my child helping me feed. Fed my loaches like they were Oscars.
Removed hair algae and neatened up. Placed a sponge to catch initial extra mulm that would wash through. Trimmed pathos back a lot as well.

Everything neat and clean then I dropped the damn bio media basket. That is now another day's job.
Washed all the filter socks to polish water as I had not changed the previous sock out for about 8 months. It just overflowed and did nothing essential for the tank

What a delightful fish room! Here on MFK there is a lot of emphasis on the Monster and sometimes less appreciation for the Fish part of the hobby. :)

Your hillstream rack has always been one of my favourite tank systems on this forum.

A question, which I forgot to ask in the above post: What is going on with the tanks on the guppy breeding rack? They each appear to have a horizontal partition, with several inches of gravel behind it, and they also appear to be on a central filter system with an overflow and feed in each tank. I can't see any sign of a UG filter in those sections. What's with that gravel?
