actually as sick as it may be (for the people who staged it,not for me watching it,lol) if you look hard enough you will find alot of staged animal fights, and tigers VS lions is a popular one, lions usually winning by a fair margin.

FACT-the first real Lion VS Tiger fight caught on film took place on the well-known Clyde Beatty film, "The Big Cage", documents a circus on the verge of bankruptcy. Beatty's attempted performance erupted into a shocking fight which was recorded on film.

In the story, Beatty tames the cats and continues in the tradition of 'the show must go on'. Privately Beatty admitted even he had no possible hope of separating the big cats and the lion went on to maul the tiger to death.

For over 50 years the scene was thought by viewers to be a well-staged dramatic scene, but is now recognised as a documentary showing an actual killing.

Chuck Norris.

H2O (Water) is the only compound that's atomic mass is less as a solid than as a liquid. In other words, every other compound is heavier as a solid, water is lighter as a solid.
This is critical because if water were heavier as a solid, there would be no polar ice caps, ice cubes would sink and humans would not exist on this planet!

The first person to go over Niagra Falls in a barrel was a Woman. She survived.
I'm curious as to where you got that one about the large felids. The reason that lions use one paw at a time is because of the fact that their postcranial muscle attaches to the scapula and the muscle of the upper arm. This configuration cannot stretch enough to allow the lion to use both paws. However, the lion swipes fromt he side with about 4x as much force as the tiger. They generally puncture a major vein or artery on the first try. Tigers rear up with both their paws and try to claw at an animal's back or snap its vertebrae. This takes more time. Still, I would bet on the tiger, just because it has a 250 pound advantage, and could fight the lion in the water

OK, of all the crap posted in this thread you guys pick me apart??:D
Everything I posted is from memory-I didn't look anything up on the internet and post it. I read each and every tidbit I posted and I did read that Tigers, in a theoretical battle with Lions would emerge victorious for the reason I noted. Lions do indeed have an advantage, I wouldn't want to fight either and Ditka would surely beat them both (Before the heart attack, of course). :)
