never even heard of that haha, it does look like a young sp. peru in a different thread on here but it also has much more orange on its fins. Beautiful rare fish!

Drew where ya from I'm only a drive away from aqua scape and a few other places who regularly get them in. It's not your typical red hi fin wolf.
But I don't think it's rare like the gold or purple. Be careful too they tend to injure themselves on tank lids or walls sometimes. Some are just spastic. Good luck and feed small I have one choke to death on krill...
They are like snakeheads essentially and love loves plants and organic materials wood leaves etc.

its not a gold or purple, I had a very wise member state it *could* be a tahuego river wolf (aka the orange wolf) they look a lot like reds as baby's, shes getting this long metallic green sheen that is covering her face and starting down her back so I am leaning towards that I.D but we can only tell for sure when she is older. And I live in the Dallas Fort Worth area. And oh she is a spaz never stops moving, and yeah she scratched her back a little on something, no jumping to my knowledge but she does likes to wedge herself between the filter and heater while she chases her reflection in the glass. She has also acclimated very quickly, she never really hides unless she just had a huge meal and she will take food from my hand if I didnt have second thoughts every time (those teeth however small are still intimidating lool)
