Glad to hear he is doing ok Jim.

This was a terrifying situation for all your family no doubt, but you know what, the fact his dad keeps rays will have made this experience easier to bare, he would definitely have been more at ease with you telling him he will be ok and the fact he is used to seeing these creatures on a daily basis....the degree of fear has a baring on the outcome with such cases.

Sounds like a great holiday, hope this unfortunate experience didn't tarnish it completely.

Hopefully a speedy recovery! Plus every cloud has a silver lining, he'll be able to enthrall girls with that time he battled a "20 foot" stingray and won lol.

Thanks all for the replies and well wishes. He is fine in himself. Struggled to sleep last night but we will know more next week when we go back to the hospital.
