I was grazed once. Removing a large ray that passed. I was gripping the tail and she slipped! Very painful! My pain stopped after 1 hour. Hot water helps! And JD. please update with lots of pics.

Once you do get hit you remember it. Also never forget to do a head count before working in the tank. At least that is my experience and I was only grazed.

Then I hope to never be a Ray keeper! My male retic is a fiesty bugger though.. the 2 girls are pretty mellow when I've moved them... just lay there and let me shift them about.. but not him! he's tried to tag me every time I move him! no friggin' way am I letting him get me! rofl. But he's to handom to hate.

After seeing that slow motion sting on River Monsters I'm doing everything I can to avoid a sting. That was terrifying... although having said that I started hand feeding one of my rays about a week ago.
