What colour substrate

If this is the kind of red colour that people go for and will make the bichir colours come out then I will go for this. Thanks

At the minute I have a endli In this tank, once my 2x laps and 2x weeksii get to a good size they will also go to this tank. I'm still on the hunt for some more lower jaws!

Well after 3 days my endli's colour hasn't changed much but my gar that was pale colour has come up really nice!

looks good i have a little black in with the red sand in my 40b and it really changes the look up. breaks up the red a bit and makes a little less intense. looks a little orange and washed out in pics with the lights in my room on.

My gravel is black, my delhezis look fluorescent yellow/green.
The little del I bought were white at purchase, within a week they turned very dark and starting to turn green too.

Thinking about switching to white gravel, and some natural around the plants.

So I have got rid of all the sand because I can't stand it being too bright red! I found this garnet sand on eBay, what grit does everyone get?
