Have you seen how large an adult Oscar is? A fish which grows twelve to fourteen inches and loses half of the food he eats out of his gills does not belong in this tank. I cannot, cannot stress how messy they are. He doesn't even belong there, by himself. If a bunch of people are telling you one thing, and you're saying the opposite, then you're never going to take advice.STXman;4065786; said:thats five fish thats not alot for a 30 inch tank by 18 inches i promise you
I agree. He'll need (at the very least) a 100 gallon as an adult. They can grow to over 12", the record is about 17-18", so a 30 gallon will only work for a few months (I'd say six months max.).gazelle;4068026; said:TAKE OUT OSCAR ASAP
Those are all good suggestions, but loaches aren't catfish.joel.uejio;4064640; said:What kind of a tank set up do you have?
What other fish do you have / want?
For a 30g you'd want something on the smaller side -- corydoras, smaller loaches, smaller synos, raphael, ...
