What to breed with texas cichlid to make a red texas?

I have a male green texas cichlid and a female purple parrot....what size do parrot fish need to be to breed

They should start breeding around 2-2.5"

I think you mean Red Mammon. Those are really hard to find true ones and are very pricey, $2000+

carpintis male x King-Kong Parrot or Red Mammon female Imo is the best you get the large white pearls including on face and the highest red content, still will only get around 30% srt though I think thats about right..most wont fully fade

or escondido male x red mammon female of course. They do work very well, but you can always tell when it's been crossed with a mammon. nice though

MY parrot and texas paired off. They spent about four day together and show all the signs of spwaning. But out of no where.she just stays away from him......why would she do this

Are most female blood parrots fertile?

I believe it's the male blood parrot that usually can't get the job done, not 100% sure
