Weird stuff in tank.

I may have exaggerated about the yellow-green tint to the "haze" the color is there just very faint , What ever it is if I leave the aquarium lights on it sort of dissipates after an hour or 2 but the water goes back to crystal clear with the lights of after a couple of hours strangest part is that when you turn the auarium lights on the water remains clear for a little under a minute and then the "haze" begins almost as if filling the tank with smoke this is strange I may have to get video before people start to think im crazy as far as photo reactive algae it sounds like something worth checking out but ive never heard about that in an aquarium im confused with this strange water activity

Do think it could have came from the lake water , a little did get in the tank when I dumped the fish out of the bag I would say theres about 4 oz of lake water in there too.

I find this very interesting.

After you take some video to save (or protect) your sanity, you could try covering the tank for 2-3 days (a blackout) and see if that kills it.

Get a diatom filter (sometimes cheap on ebay) that should filter it out.

If you have another tank you could cycle it, then take some water out of it, put it in a bucket, dip the fish in it before placing them in the new tank and see if it comes back.

Leave it as is (since you say the fish are happy :D ) and see how far it goes. It may be just the start of free floating green algae.

Or a new life form, sent from another galaxy to study us, (they just don't have large enough tanks on their planet to put us in) :screwy:

Do you hear the music from the "Twilight Zone"?

A new life form ? hmmmmm Did you ever see the movie evolution? I will come home one day i bet you there will be some kind of weird mammal eating ny fish. I will try and put some video up , But be prepared as it might be a 3 mnute long video because the change in the water take about 1 minute 2-3 minute to get intense enough for low visibilty in the water .:screwy:
