I caught this around 10 am, today. For me that's very early! It's about 16 inches and Male
Took it home due to all the blood it was losing. Currently in one of my PB ICU tanks. If it survives, I'll train it to swim to your place. Please PM your address ASAP. You may cook it anyway you wish.
I believed the previous catch was a Male. Had to go back to retrieve my gloves and fishing pliers. I noticed a bigger fish was defending the area where I caught the earlier catch. Hmm...could this be the male?
So I had to catch it and it is the female which happens to be bigger than the male. This one is 17 inch
It's pictured with my 4 inch x-rap lure which got it inside the gill cover and under its throat , too
