can a 100-125g tank be upstairs in master bedroom?

I put 2 extra 2x8 joists and 2 4x4 posts in my floor when I put the 125g in the kitchen better safe than soggy
I agree on getting some sort of solid answers I live in an upstairs apartment and would sure love a 100 or something close to it anyone have pictures of big tanks upstairs? But im sure every case would be difrent with the type of subfloor I.E. plywood subfloor ,osb or particle board I assume rough plywood subfloor might be the strongest .Ive heard some people put down a Sheet of plywood and put theyre tank stand right on top of the ply wood for extra support.
the reason you can bring a water bed up stairs is because its weight is distributed over a greater area but your tanks going to be 1000lbs+ in smaller area

well put bro...........and for you people insisting on putting massive amounts of water upstairs........pls consult a structural engineer...............my higher end lfs (the owner) actually will go to your house for a small fee and give you solid answers about your place.......he is a structural engineer (or so he says)................guessing is not worth a flood/water damage/ possible fire etc............

i would say the closer to the wall the better off you would be. I think you should not risk it and go with something a little smaller. I have a 75 a 55 and a 10 gallon in my room and it is above the basement. my 75 is a little uneven but it is not that bad.
Ive had a 75 on the 2nd floor of my house with no problems, Id say you could do a 125 just put it close to a wall (preferably the load bearing wall).

Factor in stand, tank, filter, substrate, ect, you end up with about 1,500.
If about 8 people of average weight (150-200 pounds) stood in a tight circle, would they go through the floor?
I have been worried about this too with my 55g, but every time I start freaking out, I just think of it like that. If me and 3 of my friends stood together, would we go through the floor? Umm, no.
