im not a fan of charcoal.. never have been.. just cant dont like it... if im going to light something on fire and cook with it... its going to be made of wood..

i use propane since burning wood in socal involves an extra trip to the store..

I grill alot so I usually use propane, dont want to deal with buying and storing bags and bags of charcoal.Ill use charcoal on my once a year camping trip. Its fun and tasty.
Once in a while Ill make a big smoky fire with downed sugar maple from my yard and slow cook some ribs or pork chops.Thats really good.

I prefer propane because it burns cleanly and its easy to control temperature. Something turns me off about squirting lighter fluid into the BBQ and then cooking on it. :screwy: And as far as taste goes. I prefer the taste of the meat with my choice of spices and seasonings over the inevitable taste you get when using charcoal. Depending on how the meat is spiced I find the charcoal flavor is more often then not a turn off.

Just my opinion:chillpill:
agree 100%. this is why i stick with propane. although i do have a small weber when im taking a grill somewhere.
