Florida Peacock Bass Fishing Part II - LOAD WARNING

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Rain I can handle. Winds, thunder, and lightning are something else. It's scary out there.

Finally got my #71 for the year to break my previous personal record!:headbang2

I did it in between downpours. If these rains doesn't let up, I could be fishing for PB from my rooftop.:(

Dream Bucket full of PB:woot:

Took a breather from my fishkeeping and the setup of new tanks and went fishing for about 30 minutes. Caught a 13 inch female. Just realized every catch from hereon this year is a record breaker!:D

Actually hooked its partner first but lost it when it jumped out of the water:(

WOO! #72!!

Have the waters receeded?

Yes it has. There's about 10 feet of beach area back near our house. Most of it disappeared after the recent rains. The waters are still cloudy, making it difficult to see the fish.

Today, I walked the route you guys made when u were here last May. Saw two pairs with huge schools of fries in tow:drool: Unfortunately I did not have anything to catch them or even take pictures:(

I did see a female PB tending to some newly laid eggs though in an area that has a lot of foot traffic and also frequented by anglers. Will probably just watch it develop.

Will fish the area on the other side of the bridge tomorrow.

The voice in "THIS" in your signature sounds just like u when u catched that monster PB:grinyes:

Supposed to be a catch and release day. Went fishing with only light tackle, no bike, no bucket, nothing else.

First catch got hooked in the gills. Could not take the hooks out. and had to walk home and forced to keep the fish and made the day another fish fry for dinner situation.

# 73 is 16 inch male
