Some more fishing pics (Jardini, Tarpon, Barr)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I believe that is the same fish! Would love to see more fishing pics of those and the letchartdi. Maybe even Murray cod.

Oh You forgot to answer my temperature question. :D

Opps...sorry! The day we fished, water temp was 21 deg Cel (70 Fah). This was during the day. One of the guys we fished with (a local) said there was frost on the ground earlier that morning. He said the lowest temp he's seen on his sounder was 15 deg Cel during the day; presumably it gets colder at night.

The place I fished for leichardti is alot further south of where we fished for jardini, so water temp would be lower. Didn't know they could stand such low temps, never kept them below 25 deg myself in my tanks.

I'll see if I can get a scanner somewhere. Have alot of pics, but they are on print.
If you ever make your way down here, let me know! We go fishing!:grinyes:

Wow! They cant stand the cold weather. Now I wonder if they can survive in pond outside in places like CA. I didn't say FL cause almost everything can survive there. LOL

If you have the negatives you can usually bring it back to the photo place to convert them into Digital pics on a CD. But if you just have the prints a scaeer will work, just a pain. if u have tons of pics. LOL

You know Everytime I see fishing pics of other places, they all look cool, even here in the USA. Heck even here in WA. But I have lived here in WA for years and have yet to catch a Salmon or Sturgeon. How *** is that??? Haven't caught a friggin' Salmon yet. then I have yet to catch a LM Bass bigger than 7" and a SM bass bigger than 10". Most of the fish here that I can catch is farm raised rainbow trout that is 8-10". Pretty ***. :( I only catch the trout for feeding to my fish at home.

But yeah if I ever get to go to Australia one day I'll take u up on that offer. I've always wanted to go visit Australia.

:jaw: :jaw: get those jars off that carpet!

painful to watch knowing that i pay 100 bucks for one over here when your putting holes in their lips :jaw:

We wetted the nets, our hands and the carpet before handling the fish to protect their slime coating. All the fish caught were released after a couple of photos (except for the big 96 cm jardini-he had to endure quite a few photos:D )

Slippery little suckers, didn't want his photo taken. LOL.

Good stuff mate!!! I'd love to have a few weeks fishing the top end before i die.

You guys go up on your own or did you go through a fishing charter company with a guide?

You should just do it! Years ago, I was always dreaming of fishing up north, put it off due to costs and work. Went on my 1st one four years ago, loved it, and plan on going back at least once a year.

Due to distance and time constraints, we hired a guide to make things easier. Love to have more time to do a self exploratory trip.
