Good question. But I assume it's not an issue until they're large enough mass wise to actually push open a top. Unless of course this tank is topless. (I couldn't image runnin' a tank w/o a top myself)
As far as I know they grow rather quick so dont over shoot the time you have to upgrade.
Unfortunately, they have very precise aim. They're able to jump through even the smallest holes so even they would have to be covered.Good question. Wow. Definitely wasn't aware of this. Good to know as I plan to get mine once I get my 300g tank built within the next 12 months.
Killed, or ATE it? How big is the Oscar in the tank you're trying to put this Aro in? If he killed the first one you introduced why in the world would you go buy another to introduce to the tank???
the oscar is about 8" and the aro was about 4" well if i get anew one it will be bigger or have it in another tank till it grows
Smaller ones are able to jump through almost every hole, even the small gap in between the lip and HOB filter outputs. The bigger ones are even more troublesome as they can literally jump right through the lid, either pushing it out along with it, or just completely shattering it if it is glass. Either way, make sure your lid is tight and weighted down.
