From my experience with dragon22 he will send you a ray but it won't be the one pictured, and might be a henlei instead of a leo, and probably be sick and barely alive.

All our stupid test kits show us is if there's beneficial bacteria in the tank. Standard test kits show us nothing in terms of water chemistry.
PH may be a good excuse BUT if it was just PH then why are all the fish I've brought back just fine? Cause you can transition low PH fish to high PH provided the water is as clean. Built up organics fly under our test kits radar.
I had NO issues with my 4 Gulpers. No issues with the 10 Odoe. No issues with the silver Aro. No issues with the Brycon, shovelnose, any ray I've ever gotten from Shawn in fact all the mentioned except for the 2 rays and Gulpers ate the same night they arrived.
My PH is 8+ and I love my drip system.

He has a shop in NY called Golden Aquatic Aquarium, he sells you the fish but its never the one pictured and not nearly good quality. He also likes to mess with prices of his listing. He say contact him for buy now and you think you are buying a $100 fish but he tells you its really $180. Hes a liar and a cheat.

Exactly, they are plenty of legitimate people on Aquabid. You just need to be careful with who you do business with.
i dont know why it bothers people that other people use there pics you should feel proud that they think your rays are nice enough to use the pics

Without seeing what the fish look like you are buying blind. You might think you are buying Festae because of the nice pretty pic the seller has but when you get your fish they are actually Mayans. Now if the seller had posted pics of the fish he actually had then you would have know they were Mayan and not actually Festae.

Ive been talking with Mark Bennet about him,he took the photo off my photobucket .But his 2 auctions with the photo's that were not his are deleted now.
Al ,from what i remember he said the fish where starting to get ick in his tank and dying after that .
If fish are not properly acclimated they can get stresseed which would lead to the ick and also get ph shock which will also lead to an ick breakout on them.

If you put you pics on the net anyone can use them if you don't like it mark them before putting them on the net
You can't always put a pic of every guppy you have for sale each one would be different
If you have not talked to the seller on the phone before handing over hundreds of $$$$ for a fish to confirm exactly what you will be getting for your money then I would class the buyer as foolish
In the uk some LFS have pictures and info about the fish in each tank to let the buyers know what they will look like as adults the ph and temp they like and types of food they eat
All the pics on the tanks are not the fish in the tanks as they may get new stock to refil the tank the pics and info are taken from the axlrod book
It's the same with that flowerhorn example he has just shown what the fish should look like as a adult then sent you a young fish of the same strain
