recently purchased a 10x4x30 - 750 gallon tank built by tenecor. one of the seam busted open, but since the seller wasnt the original owner i couldnt get it warranty. so the next best thing was to take it to get it fixed by an acrylic shop, that specialized in building and fabricating acrylic. they also use to build tanks for companies.
took the tank to the shop and they told me tenecor decided to use a imported material for the bottom sheet and the glue they use didnt really bond it to the domestic material that was being used for the front, side and back panels, which they said might have been the problem of the bubbling or air pockets.
while he was inspecting the tank more he saw some of the seams that were almost close to being busted open again, so he offered me 2 options of redoing the tank. one is to cut the bottom and redo the bottom which was going to cost about 2600 in labor and material. or reinforcing the bottom with 1 inch square dowels, which was the option i took.
tank wont be done till saturday and im going to polish the whole tank so tank wont be up and running till like august or so.
heres my buddy helping me moved the tank. took 3 people and 3 hrs to move the tank
heres everything loaded and on the way to the shop
