one and only alligator gar at 6 inches. in a growout 2*1*1 tank alone. later to be let into a 5000gallon outdoor pond
along with fh, red devil, koi,jaguar,oskar etc
its eating grand sumo pellets and chingmix along with a feeder as snack.

i just got 2 more floridas. they are only 3-4". i'll make a pic thread for them later. so that puts me up to 5 gars now.

Okay, the list has been updated now.

I just found my smallest Florida gar (~3") dead with a broken back and a chunk out of his tail. Based on the chunk missing, I guess that the larger of the two alligator gars (~3.5") decided that the little gar needed to die... I definitely didn't expect to see any broken backs because these gars are currently in a 10 gallon aquarium (Stage 1 of Grow-Out).

Now I'm down to nine gars...

I believe they are floridas, but the store received them as shortnose gars and a couple have patterns that I would expect of shortnose. Should become clear as they grow which shouldn't take too long. I had picked up 3 on monday and they were noticably bigger than the 5 I picked up today.
