You definitely have one male and one female. As for breeding, they are both of size at this point. There is mixed info out there about how to breed them. Many JD owners simply find eggs or wigglers one day, rather than carefully adjust the chemistry and change up foods being offered.
I am trying to breed mine with no luck. This may be because I have multiple pairs in one tank. Again, it is speculation at best. My advice would be to give them clean water, quality food and time.
