You talking about cjbarth with the breeding pair that's gotten fertile males?

I said GT b/c the best thing to use is a Thai GT. They're line bred to be good and usually get nice humps and produce good fry.

Yes he has gotten fertile males.

Very nice short bodies, its possible they have parrot in them but I don't see it.

Heres a SRT Parrot

Oh boy, I hope I don't ever make SRT parrots.. don't know how I feel about them.

LOL you make something like what Chris posted and you'll be banking. No joke. Highly doubt you'll get far in making a quality Fh.. but good luck to ya lol

I had a SB carpintis before. She died of swim bladder problems :( If she was a male I was going to breed her to a female parrot.
What I would do to get a FlowerHorn looking fish:
Trimac x Synspilum = a
Trimac x festea = b
Trimac x KKP = c
a+b= d
d+c= FH type fish
and I would selectively breed it from then on, maybe adding carpintis or something down the line ;)
I think Trimac is the most important part of doing this.

Thanks for the words of encouragement...

I don't get people like you who have to bring people down. You have no idea what stock I can and plan on bringing in, and you have no idea what the outcome will be.

The people who breed quality FH's now had to start somewhere now didn't they?

Certain breeds have other fish in them, like some Kamfa have Cuban. Kamfa general have more in them that ZZ. ZZ is heavey Trimac, Midas, and some other, Kamfa is that plus more. Etc
I don't think Ive heard of cuban used to make kamfa. Where did you read this? I'd like to read it too.
