Well I just ordered a 2" pearsei and a 2.5" bocourti for my 220 CA/SA. I will let u know how they work out! Good luck with your search
What is a relatively peaceful larger cichlid?

I currently have a uaru(as been with me for 4 years)and he is the aggressor in my big tank,the pearsei,bocourti stay out of his way and they are bigger than he is.
Buddha, your avatar was actually the inspiration for my bocourti purchase. I hope mine turns out to have atleast 1 10th of the glory of your's
For me i usually use for my milder cichlids for my tanks:
Jack Dempseys
Texas Cichlids,
Oscars usually are mellow in large tanks,
These three are usually pretty docile,
For something a little larger and more exotic
I used to keep larger pikes and johanni pikes were always less aggressive and picked on by
our larger stuff.

I briefly had a small Pearsei for a few days before my two Paratheraps Fenestratus took it out. It tried to hold its own against these two relentless bullies. It had a lot of spunk and an interesting personality for such a little guy. I'm hoping to get a bigger Pearsei soon for my 210g. I hope it can get along with a my Midas, who has not had issues with any other cichlids in his tank (120g 60x18x26). I think I will still wait until the 210g is set up before I introduce everyone. We shall see how "peaceful" these guys really are.
Snooks are cool one of my buddies has a real nice one, and yeah he minds his business but he doesnt let other fish punk him, he is always challenged by a Blue ali but he never backs down...
