What would the price range be for a used but says in new condition acrylic 10'x4'x4' tank? 1" acrylic tank not drilled and without over flows. It has a stand but not finished and would give that away for free with the tank.

yeah, thats about a 1,200gal....(ext dimensions wise)

price? all depends on demand....

i would think in the range of 6-8k if not more

Acrylic is just plain expensive. I've put my estimates in the 5 grand area for a used one that size. Acrylic also wears quickly so the used value of it is less than glass. Glass tanks tend to not depreciate more than 20 percent if kept in pristine condition (excpet that the market is flooded with tanks right now so they are about 50 percent value) Acrylic even all scratched up is pointlessly expensive IMHO. That being said you won't find a glass tank larger than 300 gallons for sale most larger glass tanks are built on sight and can't be moved due to weight. I'm looking at a tank in that size range in the approaching future and due to cost was gonna have a glass one built in my basement.

my friend just bought 10 feet long, 5 feet wide and 3 feet tall for $8700 including shipping. The tank come with external overflow on both side left and right. The thickness is 1.5 inches. For my experience that any tank over 3 feet tall then it has to be as least 1.5 inches thick plastic. i dont think its safe with 1 inch thick for 4 feet tall tank for a long run.

The 1" acrylic does concern me with it being 4'. I would like at least 1 1/4" for 4' from what Ive read but my 450g I have now is 3/4" at 3' and it is fine. Thats alot of $$$$ for a tank that might not hold up. He sent me pics and told me he had it made for his office and never set it up. It does not look like acrylic that has never had anything in it. Not bad but not as clear as you see in new unused tanks but it might just be the pics. Trying to see if the 1.5 hour drive is even worth going to look at it. He said make an offer but his wife texted me $5600. I only gave $700 for my acrylic 450g so there is no way I can go that high of a price. How hard would it be to drill and or and overflows?

I don't see it being worth less $5k+ if it's really 10x4x4. I also don't see it being a smart move if it's thin acrylic. If you're hoping to get it for 2 or 3x what you paid for your 450, you're nowhere near the ballpark of their $5600 and I don't see how you meet in the middle. Also, even with the stand being "free", you still kinda haveta figure it in.

New Tenecor 10x4x4 is $10k without stand, even $5600 might be a comparative steal if the acrylic was thick enough. If you're in the market for a 10x4x4 the price is probably great but if you're in the market for a cheap big tank it's probably not gonna be cheap enough.

Drilling and adding a coast-to-coast overflow at the top should be relatively simple and wouldn't require thick acrylic so would be reasonably cheap.

You got a steal deal on that 450, it doesn't mean that that's the going rate....

There's a big difference in price between 3/4" acrylic and 1" acrylic. When I priced my tank (600 gal, 10x3), it was $ 3800 with 3/4" or $ 4900 with 1" acrylic from tenecor.

I personally would not use 3/4" pass 10 in length and 30" height...

Yes I did get a real good deal on my 450g thats why I jumped on it. That price is a good deal for such a large tank but I cant go $5k for a tank right now. It on DFW craigslist.

Dang cant decide if I try and do this deal. He sounds like he wants to get it out of his office. Texted me back and mow is $3500 and might be willing to trade for some guns and old Baseball cards.
