Yes, I suppose so, it was the larger ones that survived. I have also noticed they are starting to turn a bit from yellow to green, so looking forward to more changes. On the bright side, 2 of the 5 survivors are 2 spots. Only on one side, but still a nice oddity.

I'll post updated pictures of the bass early next week. Camera phone won't do them justice, I need my D90 back...

Yeah, I've seen a lot of juvis and would also like to see a full grown 2 spot. The largest one I have is close to 4", and still isn't showing any darkening where the missing spot should be.
 
Decided late last night that I don't like certain aspects of the scaping, mainly that the large piece of driftwood takes away a lot of space, and the tank is looking crowded.

Currently draining to re-scape without that piece and just hanging root like branches from the top. Compiling my HD list in the meantime!

Full time student, finishing dissertation research, new baby and setting up a big aquarium is a full time job for me! Good luck!
