So then you gotta tell her that it's educational for the kids... and that they get first hand experience on how to properly care for your pets.. right? ;)

i think u should get a bigger school of tiger barbs, get 5 of each color. and as for blue and yellow colors get a blue acara and a salvini

I can tell you that you are going to be so happy you ran hard plumbing for water changes. The ability to simply open and close a ball valve or two to do a water change is priceless I break out in to sweats thinking about having to do water changes manually again. I had a drip system setup and I loved that I could just let it do its thing and only change the filter twice a year, I recently removed my drip system for maintenance, and have personally decided I prefer once a week water changes because its more effective then a drip system.

How did you decided to handle the temp of the water fill line? do you have both hot and cold hooked up to that line and then just turn them both on to get the right temp. I recently found I had been doing it wrong for a while, I would turn both the hot and cold on full blast thinking it was coming out the right temp. I assumed it was coming out the right temp because this is what I did with buckets and it was always just right, however I found that since my file line was hooked up almost directly off the hot water heater that I needed to dial back the hot a bit.

Good build I am subscribed.

yea thanks alot.. i def do not want to lug buckets ever! or even run hose from outside threw window because in winter that can be a pain.. i only did cold water line so i figure since water changes will be super simple an quick i will just do like 10% to 15% water changes more often so it wont shock them... a 10% water change will prob take me a total of 5 mins.. so i dont mind doin this 3 to 4 times week if i must
