Excellent thread idea! Time and time again I am impressed by how you healed that female Festae. She's by far my favorite female Festae! It was an easy choice picking that male out of the bunch of juvies. He was destined for greatness.

Nice thread and beautiful fish. He looks great. Looks like a little piranha in the second to last photo.
May 2011-He's still my favorite cichlid.

July 2011-Most current update. This month is his 4th birthday and he's over 13". His female is only 11".

Well that's about it for now. I'll add some new updates as time goes on. Thanks for the compliments, I didn't know how much work this thread was going to be when I started it. 
I was hoping there were a few progression thread fans.
Sorry I thought that was an easy one. If you're looking at post #8 in the second and third pictures, I kept the one on the right. He was bigger, had more personality and better fins and coloration. Also he was the dominant fish of the two.
Sweet thread and dam can she get a dark red. Never seen her that dark, always that fire red. I like the darkest red myself and they look great.
