I feed feeders all the time to my managuense and dovi. In 3 years I got ich one time, so the threat of disease is not something I worry about.
OK, this should be goodBTW if someone were to sneeze on this popcorn and then I ate it would the germs still affect me?

consider your fish lucky so far... trusting an LFS store is a big gamble.. if they are lucky enough to buy feeders from a very reliable wholesale dealer all will be well..but they usually buy from a few dealers and sooner or later.. anyway lets just say your lucky for now.I feed my baby peacocks feeders till they are big enough to eat earthworms.
My largest peacocks love earthworms so i stick with them, They eat feeders every once in a while but i don't see how they can die from feeders, I mean they eat live food in the wild and they are not snacking on pellets. Personally feeding pellets takes their hunting aspect out of there system i mean i watched videos of how they smash the top of the water getting pellets but when i dump about 5 dozen feeders in there gone within a few minutes is just cool to watch how they would work in the wild.
Don't get me wrong i know about all the diseases and parasites they carry but i trust my LFS in keeping there feeders healthy as they feed their own fish in the store those feeders they sell. I have also bought from a bait shop minnows and they are a better quality feeder because goldfish pretty much die during transportation.
