220 gallon re-stock?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok, I think I'm going to go with these fish for sure, and add others along the way

1 Asian Arowana(depending on the price)
2 Paratheraps Zonatus
1 Vieja sp.?
Bichirs? How many?
1 Vieja Argentea
1 Channa Pulchra

Yeah, just dont get a green aro... people think JARS are the most aggressive aro... well.. they obviously never seen a nice sized green :D

Bichirs = as many as your filtration/WC schedule can handle.

My argentea doesn't play well with other cichlids of similar size, so this could be a problem for ya.

I wouldn't mind selling him, as I have him already..

Asian Arro should never even come up, did no one bother to see that he is 13 years old lol, where in gods name would he get the money for even the cheapest. I like where your head is at with your stock list and luckily you have a good size tank so the idea of keeping some of the more robust CA/SA cichlids is not out of the question. I can hear Argentae can get nasty as well as many other veija/paratheraps. You may want to look into some of the Hericthy specie like H. Pearsi which from what I hear tend to be a bit more mellow. They have a similare shap to some of the other fish you listed. Your Bichirs should work out fine, and if you are going to keep a pleco just look to some of the smaller variants. I have kept some of the smaller royals pleco's with many of the above listed species with great success. If they get to big or nasty swap them out for another and just avoid the more predatory pleco's. I know where your head is lol you are restocking a large tank and you want everything!! lol keep researching and looking into the recomended fish by others hear and you will find something cool. Perhaps some of the severums would be cool to like a high quality golden redface or maybe like a G. Brasilienses?
