Update on my Festae Colony

Looking good Jason! Their colours are still great even tho their a little stressed! I hope they grow faster than mine! I just realised the other day that its taken her about 18 months to grow 5 inches! I guess some grow quicker than others!

Jason, great fish and great job with them... makes me want to get a female now to breed with my male... if I could only be 100% it would work with the Midas and Red Isletas and Argentea... man, I really want a female bad...

hey how long would it take 1" ers to hit that size

My f1's i grew out from eggs last july/august and my largest one is 5.5+ thats one year of growth. Ive had some go from 1.5" to 8" in 8 months and others go 3" to 8" in a year. each time ive grown out festae, ive had different numbers and different environments so im not able to lock in a definitive answer on how fast they grow. It really depends on how well theyre cared for ie; tank size, water changes, feedings, tankmates, and a few other variables. assuming one would have the all the best then i would say the growth would be around 1/2" a month.

Thank you. I just noticed some action between a couple of males and females the other day so hopefully i get a pair soon
