Heck even the black gravel has a pink tint to it
Maybe a little windex would help your pic.HEHE...
@Dayak, I hope you like the taste of 14 hole Dr-Martens, as that's the only room service you will get.
Back on track, The OP has the 370gallon coming.
I would advise to wait until tank arrives before making your decision.
Once it comes, you have the cycle time to research and decide which Aro you want to go for. The tank will be big enough for either.
Never judge a tank by it's volume, we need to see all the dimensions first. Considering this tank is 10 foot long I have a feeling it will be too narrow.
Hi Egon.a black...well i've never seen a 2' one in domestic aquaria in over 35 years but they do grow larger than this.Wild specimens of both species do attain larger sizes due to there been no unnatural restrictions, ie water quality issues and of course no space limitations.
Having kept pretty much all species of Arowana my choice between these two would be a black. They still attain a large size but a little more sensible, rarely do you see a black with drop eye,the colouration in the fins(sky blue with a yellow fringe) is so attractive and they generally have a more peaceful disposition than many silvers.
All in all blacks are worth the extra cash imo.QUOTE]
I agree with all of this except my black is 2 feet right now. I chose a black because they don't get as big as silvers, drop eye is rare, they look awesome, and mine is very friendly. Blacks are more expensive but worth it!
So there are some blacks 2feet and larger in captivity, beautiful example too,i merely pointed out that i personally hadn't seen any myself at this size but my post clearly states that they do and will get bigger.
Nice to see that there are some possitive posts again on what is a very interesting thread rather than the silliness thats
been going on.
