Wow, so sorry to offend you and your bud Shanahan...lol. Oh, yeah, and he is the only one responsible for them going to a Superbowl or two. Elway and Davis had nothing to do with it. Oh, wait, maybe Elway had a little something to do with it. How many playoff games have the Broncos won since Elway left? One in the last 12 years! Shanahan needed to go. Obviously it wasn't working in his recent years in Denver. Yeah, Shanahan has made the Redskins way better. They went from 4-12 in 2009 to 6-10 with Shanahan in 2010. Watch out NFL, here come the 'Skins! lol
All that sarcasm aside, obviously Shanahan was a good coach at one point with the Broncos and I appreciate what he did. I didn't realize my comment, that I was making in a joking manner, would make me such a fake fan.
Anyways, my comment about the sissy-ball and my excitement about Fox is because he is defensive minded and wants to run the ball hard. That is tough, physical football, not "sissy-ball." That is a route I am excited to see Denver take after years of bad records and bad defenses. Yeah, Fox needs to prove himself. You need to win games as a coach consistently all the way to the playoffs (something Shanahan could not do without Elway and hardly did with the Redskins last year), and obviously that has yet to be seen with Fox. We will see. Even if the Broncos go 4-12 again this year (which I doubt), I will still be a huge fan of the team.
happy with the steelers overall preseason performance. first string looks good with the exception of the oline which is bad every year. i really like the depth at wide reciever that we have. i also am impressed with some of there draft picks. i think it will be a good season for the steelers barring injuries. lets go back to the superbowl.
i view shanahan as great as i view big chin cowler. all these new coaches coming in would not bne given 10 years to win their first superbowl. who cares if they won one or two at the end of their coaching career (yes i realize shanahan's is still going....into the dumpster).

It's not as easy as it seems,and besides joe gibbs,what good head coach have they had? nah, this isn't the nfl of the 90s and before, i'm talking TODAY'S culture. all of those coaches you've named are failure in my book (don't worry, they're good guys, i like some of them). the only thing they get credit for is being competitive in a small market and getting their team close (with the exception of norv turner). Getting close is what's bought them additional time. if anything you've proven my point that norv needs to be fired like yesterday
what about Shanny? ok-you're catching on.It's a tough call to make with some of these guys that have come close.fisher came so close and is considered a good coach,but just got canned.I'm not an andy reid fan.he's a slob and his kids are criminals.If you cant raise your own kids right,how can you be entrusted to run a multi million dollar franchise?
