I was thinking 75 degrees would be the best temperature to keep both at. My sunfish would be insane at that temperature, but if I want oscars with sunfish, what would be best?

I have both Northern Longear and MO dollar sunfish, well technically not yet. they come in from zimmerman's this thursday. the tank is a 135, but they will be going into a smaller tank for now to grow. I'm thinking way ahead. Although I could get a tiny oscar to go with the inch long sunfish. My LFS has oscars in that are pretty much fry. hmm. anyway. 74-76! awesome.

In the combo tank that I have is set at 73.5f and runs between that and about 74.5f and all the fish seem to be health and doing well

Why not just find a combo that allows you to keep fish at proper temps?

i don't know why people respond like this, he isn't asking for alternatives, if you aren't going to try and help him answer the question then u just shouldn't reply

75 sounds good to me

hmm, a dollar to feed an oscar? if you must.

My bad. Not dollar, they're MO/central strain longears, they get 6-7in. Theyll be fine with the Oscar considering they'll be growing up together.

Mid seventies are good.
