Do you have them on at night time to enjoy them while your home?

Do you have them on in the morning and off during the night even though you work during the day and come home at night?

Just curious on different lighting habits everyone has. :D

Summer time here in Phoenix I almost never put the lights on. I try to maintain 87 and below tank temps. If the lights are on the temps go to high. Winter I will have them on most of the day.

I see, does it affect their color at all? I've read that having no light could affect their health as well.

Light are on a timer, go on at 9am, off at 10 pm. Asiide from that if I'm working in the tanks at night or early morning I turn on some additional lights.

Lights come onto my main tank at 2pm...and off at 11pm...times when I am most likely to be home enjoying the tank.

My tanks are in the basement facing the windows so that is most of the light that they receive.I rarely turn on the hood lights but if I am working in the basement or someone's doing laundry, the overhead lights are on.

There's light in the room. I know it's weird but we have windows in our houses here in Phoneix. It's actually very bright. I have 5 skylights in my house lol. They seem to be healthy, I'm too cheap to buy a chiller so I do what I can to keep the temps down.
