R.I.P MY PACU

sorry about your pacu.....

Your Pacu and Channel Cat are smart fish...some might say visionaries. They committed suicide because they realized they were destined for a miserable life crammed in a 70G.

Here is an idea...why not buy a fish that you can actually responsibly care for for the creature's entire life? You seem to love the idea of buying huge fish, but don't realize that they are all going to die prematurely because you don't have a tank big enough to care for them properly.

Let me take a guess...you are 15 years old?

Adrianm: aldiaz33 puts it a bit mean, but ultimately is correct...... unless of course this was just a grow out tank and you had a pond ready for these guys. If this is not the case, please do research your fish before purchasing.....and don't feel bad about forgetting to dechlorinate..... I forgot to do this to 8 tetra feeders just two days ago....and they all died on me....bummer....live and learn. good luck.

completely agree with the two above, i mean y r u sad they were bound to be tourtured in such a small tank anyway atleast they died quick not lon and painfully

Wow, I guess there are some perfect people here, none of which live in glass houses?

Obviously the poster is hurting with the loss of their fish and yet some people feel the need to insult him/her? Sure the CC was too big for the small environment but to be puerile about it is pathetic.

I'm sorry for the loss of your fish!

I'm so sorry to hear about your fish. And don't worry about people jumping on you. When I first started out I planned to get a great big big big tank so I had a leopard pleco and 2 blood parrots in a 26 gallon. I feel like an idiot now but after the blood parrots passed away (we think it was ammonia) I had a fellow on the blood parrot site jump down my throat. He told me to give away my pleco and get some tiny fish for my tank. It's hard to make people understand that it's just your baby tank while you get your skills and your money up for the real thing. We all make some pretty big mistakes early on and we all suffer for it. You've probably learned a lot from this. Good luck in the future :(
