haha i guess lol everyone has there own different opinions about things but yea i do agree with you with that. I didnt know you were just 16. If you choose with Lexus, get the IS350. What year range are you hoping to get anyways?

Let me get this straight....you are 16. You want to buy your first car which will be trashed within two years one way or another. You are choosing between a list of 40,000 dollar cars. If your family is wealthy enough to considor these cars why worry about an extra 300 dollars a year for the Beamer......my beamer did not raise my insurance at all over my previous Acura. A first car should be your parents choose. i would hope they would sensible enough to choose something safe. Something that is dispensable. You may be the best driver on earth but I have met few teens; especially those seeking sports cars, that keep their first cars intact for more than a year ot two. My kids will probalby get something like a Suburu or Honda.....with 90.000 miles on it. You would be lucky to get the same. But if you are truly wealthy......buy the Beamer. No question.

Lol.. I'm buying used with around 30-50k miles. budgets a lil over 20k. I live in beverly hills, the cars im throwing around here may be crazy to you guys, but it's nothing special around my area. My mom doesn't really like the beemer, but i still gotta test drive n stuff..

The danger with getting a fast car at that age is it's hard to get the need for speed out of your blood once it's in.

I got my brother's V8 when I was 15 (I had a special permit). One of the first times driving it alone, I had it up to 95mph. That was 30 years ago and I still like driving fast. I've slowed down alot but the desire is still there.

Personally I would recommend more of a throw away car for the first to get decent driving skills down

You WILL wreck your first car. Get something reliable and safe.

Agree to those above. Its better safe than sorry. Start small and if you want something more sporty then get one in the future as you progress.

I have a 2008 G35 and I love it. But knowing what the car can do, I would never get my 16 year old kid such a powerful car. Recipe for disaster.

start w/ something decently fast, but older and cheaper for when you wreck it. I always recommend a 97-03 Grand Prix GTP or 97-04 Regal GS. Damn, I wish I could have had a $40,000 car when I was 16...I still can't and I'm 30 (had an 06 Cobalt SS/SC and an older Camaro, but had to sell them and now I have a 98 GS and an 87 Chevy truck, lol).

Yea i hate to repeat it but i must... as others have previously stated you being 16 should really buy something a little older and less expensive than the cars you have mentioned. Who cares if it doesn't look as bad ass or its as fast as your friends car. you have the rest of your life to save up and buy something nice to drive around once you become a better driver. I say this because alot of my friends got brand new cars when they turned 16 only to wreck them a couple months later.

Ok first of all those are bad choices for a 16 year old. I know, I know you have to have the best of the best in high school I been through it, but get something decent like a honda civic. Insurance will be high no matter what car you have since your sixteen. Maintenance and filling the tank with these cars you listed will cost you. I drive a g35 and I pump supreme. It cost me about $85 to fill up my tank and trust me, you dont want to know how much I spend for maintenance at the Infiniti dealerships....

I might sound like a hypocrite because my parents bought my G35 last year when I was 18.

But anyways you asked what car you should get.... I say get the G35. They are luxurious and drives pretty awesome. Down side is they are gas guzzlers!

If you do get any of the cars, Pictures or it didnt happen!

The new TLs are UGLY.

I'm 17 and my first car was a twin turbo stealth, 300hp, AWD and insanely fast. But I don't daily drive it, and when I do I'm extremely careful with it. This car is my baby and I won't let anyone drive it unless they've driven a car with similar power and can drive a manual. I say 350z or 370z, never liked the G35.

Getting a G series like your buddies isn't unique, but you can factor in the fact you all could ride together and have a G series convoy.

IS series, as you stated, no one at your high school has it. So that is already unique, it is quite sexy, but for me the back seat is non existent because I'm a tall guy. It does have enough ponies to keep you planted in your seat.

Personally, an IS300 would be unique. I had one, stage 2.5 single turbo. That would be very unique, extremely powerful, and you can plug and play because it is a 2jz motor after all, though you would need to buff up the internals and transmission.

With that said, if your parents are paying for it with their money, and you don't have the ability to spend $10K on motor modifications, get an IS with the F package.

I am very Lexus biased though... so take it as you will

Or there is always the srt8 300c, though a bit plain.

Go drive a tractor? Jealous? My parents werent dumb enough to buy me such a car cause u more than likly will destroy your first car. Its ok. Eventually youll step out from under your parents wing and step into the real world.

Ps just for your knowledge, a good tractor is far more than any of the junk you listed.
