Well,the image was sent to my wife's phone as well and I told her to take it out of there.It just does not seem right,and I don't even know the guy.

LOL if someone were to be dressed in black at one of my family member's weddings something would surely be said and someone would be offended....Was this person a guest or a relative?
really? i don't see a problem. i mean, black slacks or a black jacket is just casual/formal wear. does everyone have to wear white? and what about the groom? he's mostly wearing black isn't he?
i'll clarify, it was my brother's wedding, and the person who made the comment was his mother in law. it was towards one of my aunts. kind of pissed me off because my aunt meant no harm and she felt bad afterwards. but i think it's kind of a crappy thing to say to someone the way she said it
I don't care for social convention, so I don't care if you wear black to a wedding or white to a funeral...doesn't matter to me. or plaid or shorts after labor day, lol., wtf is that?
Never heard of the plaid shorts bit but here you are not allowed to wear white slacks after Labor Day.

LOL,neither do I and I don't think I ever have.I don't know how it came about and I've never heard it broken down in terms of gender but I suspect it's just one of those female fashion things.
This is the part where I think things could be weird. If a person wants to take a picture of a dead loved one in a casket for their own use, that's one thing. In a situation like death, you may not be thinking straight, but to think others want to see that also, and to circulate the picture could be offensive.
