Whats up MFK Fam! Here is a quick update on my Gorilla Umbriferum A.K.A. Caqeutaia Sp. Gorillus A.K.A Red Freckled Monster A.K.A Black Umbee, That I collected. I am currently working with two pairs. One out of the two pairs I successfully spawned while the other pair are nesting at the moment. However I got them to live peacefully together which was not an easy task. This fish is no different from the blue Umbriferum as far as personality and aggression goes. This fish is very strong, not shy and eats like a sumo wrestler.
The Reds on them are insane, hence the name red freckled monster I have given them. It is not clear if this fish is a new color variant of Umbriferum or a new species. It is not for me to determine, however I am very thrilled to be the first to collect them for this amazing hobby and to share them to you all. I have plans on returning to Colombia to collect and explore more parts of this beautiful country to see what else may be out there. Well with that said, here are two short videos of my Gorillus pairs. THESE ARE NOT FROM CHOCO. Enjoy!
