For filtration I amrunning a custom plumbed filter setup with a Fluval FX5, Marineland Magnum 350 pro, cascade 1000 and a seprate custom 55Gal planted refugium.

Yes i remember this thread. Dont worry nobody is judging here only sharing. I like your DIY plant filter thing. Nitrates are a pain in the *** when you got many fishes.

How many gallons are these guys in ?
The turtle is a "Fly rive turtle" or a "pignosed turtle" scientific people call them Carettochelys insculpta i call mine P.J. they are lots of fun

All my guys are going in to a 210 very soon. Right now they are all in a combination of tanks. 3 55G, 2 10G and 2 30G. most of them are still on the smaller size right now, The biggest one being the clown knife at 16" or so. I plan on doing 20% water changes every other day with my R.O system along with the custom filter setup I have plus a homemade nitrate filter, homemade charcoal reactor surface skimmer and possibly a custom modified protein skimmer to keep the tank crystal clear and at safe levels for my community. As soon as all my fish move from there condos to the new "monsters estate" Pictures will definitely be going up in the masses!!...lol I was going to get a few more oddball fish but I think I am going to get one of those turtles instead, They are wicked gnarly looking!!! where can I get a baby or small one? what do they eat and I take it they are 100% aquatic? also how fast do they grow? I have some monsters that are still young and I don't want to loose them to snack time...lol

This thread is awesome, I love being able to talk about my stock and not catching S**T. In one of my first posts that I said I have 2 pacus and an arowana I had someone go as far as posting up almost the full care instructions for pacus and pretty much told me if I didn't get a bigger tank for them I was cruel and a bad person...lol Wasnt exactly a warm welcome to my new found fish forum...hahaha

I was a drag racer until I fell extremely ill last year and the picked up the aquarium hobby seriously and full time (I am actually posting from my hospital bed right now with staples in my neck and a pain med I.V in my arm after major surgery yesterday...lol) so I have learned to roll with the punches and have an extremely thick skin. You wouldn't believe the s**t talking, insults, threats and beyond harsh words that are thrown at you on the automotive forums. When someone gets like that I just laugh and tell them I didn't ask for there views to be pushed on me...lol
