Nice Xingus!

Noticeable difference on the three that came from the HOB filter system. So does filtration control color? Picture was taken 12 hours after move.

definatly i believe so ken my 3 are so yellow or gold you cannot see the spangle in pics and literally half as much spangle as the ones from Laz that came later ...Also another interesting observation my three the bottom of the tail fin is very sharp blocked off the recent ones from laz they were very rounded now weeks later thier tail fin on the bottom is changing to a sharper edge!!!!!by the way guys still can't load pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hulon, why cant i pm you? i moved all my new cichla from a 100g with hob filtration to a 450 with wet dry's..we'll see how/if they change...

Just the opposite gangster.......the three dull ones are from the HOB system. My son told me to keep the ten gallon system because it turns Xingus into Intermedias. He may be on to something $$$$$$$$

Ahhh....I gotcha Ken. I have my xingu w/ the 4 orino's from laz. The orino's try and make themselves look like a xingu. Wish they could change into xingus..haha
