I have a brand new, never used Visio 180 gallon glass aquarium with glass lids, solid pine canopy and solid pine stand. The setup has never seen water and I was going to use it for an African Cichlid setup, but I am in the Marine Corps and with my deployment tempo, I just dont have the time to set it up and take care of it like I want to, especially since I also have my 60G reef setup that will be my wife's responsibility when I leave.

I bought it back in July for $975, so $800 is a great price for a beautiful setup. I also have an acrylic wet/dry that was made by John @ Advance Acrylics which was going to be used as the filtration for this setup that I will sell for $300 if bought with this setup or $325 if anyone wants it separately.

The entire setup is 74.5"L x 26.5"W x 61.75"T at the largest points.

- The tank is 72.5"L x 24.5"W x 25.5"T from frame end to frame end
- The canopy is 76"L x 26.5"W x 8"T
- The stand is 74.5"L x 25.5"W x 30"T

I can tell you that the price you got it for ($975) was a great deal for this setup, considering the furniture included.

That is a pretty nice quality stand and the canopy is a bonus. The fact that you are selling this for $800 is a steal...considering only that this setup has never seen water!

To be asked to lower your price to match (or come closer to) a scratched up acrylic tank that is probably in rough shape, with furniture that is at best, used...is absurd :nilly:. Disregard the comment and stand firm on your price.

I don't post much but comments like this irritate me...You're already losing $175. Why should you lose anymore money on this setup? Sure, it may not sell as fast as if you sold it for $50, but at least you get most of your money back. Isn't that the seller's right? And yes...the buyer does have the right to ignore the sale thread and look for something more suitable for his/her budget.

If there is a buyer that is looking for a tank/stand/canopy setup and has gotten "real", "legitimate" quotes from LFS's...then I'm sure they won't pass this up!

Anyhow...good luck! Thanks for serving our country!!!

i LOL'd @ " real legitimate quote from a "LFS"" puhahahahahahahaha :ROFL::grinno:

Now a-days you can't seem to sell anything on craigslist (or here for that matter) without someone telling you that they "got a quote for a brand new one for the same price that you are selling your used one"... - which more often than not is exaggerated quite a bit.

Or, "My local fish store sells a 10" black arowana for $50...so can you match that price for your black aro?"...

Let the guy sell what he wants for how much he wants, and if we happen to "wait another month, to see if it sales" (blah, blah, blah - pun intended) and it doesn't...then let him choose to lower the price at that time...

RATTLERSKIN, what dimension is that sump? I know John, and I know his work is excellent...

i didnt say anything about his thread i was just laughing at you because of what you said...
you obviously dont know the works and the way around this hobby as for prices but who
is gonna pay some jacked up retail price for a tank just because it's new & "has never seen
water"... most here do there research here before buying and some being the hardcore
hobbyist that they are wont pay $800 for a 180g just cause it's new when they can go out
there and get a much larger tank and put a little elbow grease in it and make it look new again...
it's only common sense. who's gonna buy a 180g for $800 when they can get a 300g for the
same price or sometimes even cheaper...

lol exotic i see my quote there still ahaha lovin it! :D
dont ever take it off lol hahaha
