The cichlid room companion

Is there a section that relates more to aquariums? I enjoy the info and learning about the cichlids in the wild but can't seem to find data as to fish keeping, am I missing something?
 
Pay the $25 for the year subscription, pretty much the best money you can spend on learning more about your cichlids. Then read all the articles and profiles.

Yup. I refer to it at least a couple times a week. There's not a lot of info in the catalog section on aquarium keeping, but plenty of articles and they do have a really nice forum--not as active as MFK but full of the world's cichlid experts.

I think this is what I'm missing since I spend most of my time in the catalog and occasionally in the forum. I'll check out the articles next time I'm on there.

There's really nothing like CRC out there that provides the specific info it provides on a site devoted to cichlids. If you aren't interested in things like taxonomy or collection points, it's probably not the site for you.

How many of the other forums deal with collecting cichlids from the wild, have habitat types, photos of habitat locations, etc.? It's $25 for a year...I'm pretty sure if you're in the aquarium hobby you can afford the "premium".

If I have a serious cichlid question I don't post it on MFK or whatever else is out there these days, I got to CRC.
 
I checked out the articles last night and they were what I was missing. I guess I assumed that if there was an article on a fish that the data from the article would have been added to the catalog section.

Yeah, I wish they would link those specific articles to species catalogue pages, but they're easy enough to find.
