What do you guys/girls think is the most overrated cichlid?

That's a pretty far assumption from the small amount of information he stated.
I am kinda tired of Festea, umbees and trimacs. Not that i don't like them just tired of hearing about them.
out where I am Festae are not really available and are expensive when they are. They can't be overrrated if they aren't overly abundant ya know. Discus, O's, Frontosa, FH, are all everywhere I look.
So, some of you are equating how common or popular a fish is in the hobby, to whether or not it's overrated? Pretty interesting, really. I think oscars are among the most beautifully colored fish in the hobby... I don't care how common they are. I'm not a fan of hybrids, but even I would have to admit I like the occasional pic of a stunning red texas, and even saw a fader at a store recently that made my eyes pop! LOL...
Again... while I, myself, hesitate to call any fish "overrated"... I guess I choose my likes and dislikes by how the fish looks, and if it seems to fit my personality. Earlier, I said I just don't get the whole umbee craze. That said... I never kept one. To me, they just don't look that impressive. But if I ever kept one, could change my mind completely. I think I'll always have an oscar because I like their colors and puppy dog tendencies. I don't care if a million other people have 'em. I just like the fish. But I like a LOT of fish. I have one CA themed tank, one SA themed tank, one Malawi themed tank, and a saltwater tank... and I love ALL of my fish! LOL... so I guess I'm just undecided like that! LOL...
