"Not according to DR Igarashi.
Quoted:
Presence of individuals from human introduction for sustainable fishing stocks maybe, but as a local no. Introduced stock will most likely be from Kenya."

Sorry to dissapoint. No face off here we all learn from each other here.

We had shipment of Nigerian PBB before back in 2008 all have 16-15 finlets. I have 2 in my tank that was returned by a customer for free as he gave up the hobby. Not sure why they would introduced PBB when Nigeria is one of the places in Africa with abundant of bichirs.

According to the Federal College of Freshwater Fisheries Technology, New Bussa, Nigeria. PBB are native to Nigeria. They are found on some of the tributaries of the Niger River and tributaries of Lake Chad. That makes Chad PBB and Nigerian PBB probably the same fish. Lake Chad is surrounded by Chad, Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon. If they were introduced, they should listed that as "introduce fish", not "native fish".

those are really cool i have a senegal

Yeah, I think what is meant is the "native" PBB of Nigeria are the ones found in their portion of the Lake Chad. Other rivers and lakes in Nigeria have been populated by humans.
These are the very same as "Chad" PBB, the reason they are considered "Chad PBB" and not "Nigerian PBB" is down to the fact they are naturally found in other lakes and rivers in Chad.
