There are some pics of all the fish in my album called South American Cichlids. Please check them out!

you can keep 2 hybrid not true blood parrot in a 37 gallon with an asortment of community fish

He's not a true blood parrot.

Thank you for the offer, but would I have to get rid of my other fish?

I have a 37 gallon south american cichlid tank with a 9'' quetzal cichlid, a 5'' red headed severum, and a 3'' parrot cichlid.I purchased a 3.5'' tinfoil barb as a dither fish 5 days ago. This morning, he died from my cichlids harassing him. He had torn fins and missing scales. Anyway, what would be a compatible fish that would bring the cichlids out, but wouldn't get picked on?

You don't need more fish. You need a bigger tank for the fish you already have. Cichlids need space and you don't currently have enough.

Somebody said that if you crowd cichlids, they're less territorial.

Africans can benefit from a bit of overstocking, but not so much with South Americans. You really need a crowd of fish for overstocking to work and 3 or 4 fish is not a crowd.

I have an oscar cichlid 12 inches with lots of good coloring. she is free to a good home, are you interested?

Seriously? your trolling on only your 5th post here on MFK? Or are we to believe your seriously going offer the oscar to someone across the USA?

They get along quite well, so the overstocking idea could work. They get along quite well, since they're all huddled in one corner. Also, they choose to be together.DSCF6463.JPGDSCF6464.JPGDSCF6462.JPG
