why are they only a few Electric blue fish. for example EBJD and Electric blue rams. what i am more interested is how are the electric blue fish made and if any fish can be a electric blue like a electric blue convict which i would think would be very easy to make because of how easily it breeds.

So How are they made?

Are they hybrids?

And Can any fish be a electric blue?
 
No EBJD are not hybrids.. And what a electric blue convict? :confused:
 
a electric blue convict hasnt been created yet i believe, but y arnt they because convicts breed so fast and they will breed with there sisters and brothers and if im correct doesnt inbreeding weeken the genes or break it up and thats when "mistakes" are made like the electric blue fish because i have looked at some ebjd and it says that its a gene. am i correct?

yes EBJD gene is a weak gene
 
the electric blue fish already have some electric blue speckles . the mutated ones have an unusual amount of it ... so if a fish doesn't have some of that electric blue normally , you're not going to see the electric blue mutation .... therefore , no electric blue convicts etc ... anyways thats how i figure it .

Flash kills it but this male is mainly a purple irridescent (spelling ?) and seems to glow metallic purple along the lateral line and the flesh around the fins. I will have to take more pictures lol
