And a beautiful one at that! Your female has a very nice base color I wish my female had.

Is it just me or my beani is developing amazing colors?
Never seen a yellow male dovii as far as i know all females are mostly yellow and males mostly blue unless your asking if you should get a male or female
If thats the case them if you have a large enough tank then i would get a male because i love there color and attitude keep in mind unless you have a really big tank 90%-95% of the time they won't tolorate tank mates
Females are smaller and eazier to keep with other fish but can still be very aggressive
Or get the best of both get a pair
that will really bring out the color of both

As for yellow males. I have a grow out pair of Costa Rican Gold Dovii. Both the male and female are gold still. The male is 6-7" and the female 5".
