Try "Eco tech glue" for corals... heard its the best

...one problem fix in my tank however another one develops....I just noticed my heater crashed a few days ago as it was "not submergible" then I accidently submerged it for 3 days...hopefully they will make it through the night so I can purchase a new heater...any one know of best heater? Problem going to pick up a heater for a 100 gallon size tank since thier is 72 gallons + 20 gallons of sump water = 92 gallons total

Sounds like you got a bunch of stuff!

Heater wasn't submersible, weird. Honestly, all heaters suck. None of them are very accurate or consistent. IMO they all work about the same and I have used quite a few different ones.

I found a 50 watt heater in my garage that works and notice how this fluval heater that apparently broke..is working I notice the weird look when water flow is next to the heater....but I see no light, guess like you said all heaters suck! Tomorrow I'm still gonna go out and purchase a large enough heater for this system, it better work lol

It sucks how I'm researching corals after I bought them -___-... on live aquaria says the elephant ear can eat small fish that touch it...I like my chromis lol

The guy at the lfs is very knowledgeable, the go to guy here in the bronx ny, he told me what is great and hardy for me which was narrowed down to mushrooms, polyps and some lps corals...I need to get more colors in the tank, and tomorrow I'll show you and whoever else visit this thread the size of this monster toad stool! I'd say he's like 8in across, he's been at this store for like a year..nobody wanted it.

Also Nonstop, should I be adding any type of food for these corals besides brine/mysis shrimp? I was told the toadstool can do just fine with the light...

I think I'm going to be buying the much larger size of the 50 watt version heater i have, I usually run those heter on every tank I use to have, seem to be strong and durable. I don't think I've ever seen an aqueon model...the 50 watt one says "Elite" if anyone is familiar. aqeon

Probably going to buy 2 300 watt elites heater, because thier up to 80 gallons each...only 15 bucks each on amazon hopefully it's cheap like that at the lfs.

For the above post, you are right, you don't need to be feeding your corals. I honestly wouldn't feed any corals until you get set in and stable. It just adds to the bioload and waste removal.

I would not buy 2 300 watt heaters. The reason being that if one gets stuck on it can quickly overheat your tank. Getting 2 heaters is a good idea though, in case one stops working the other can pull some weight. I would get 2 200 watters in your case or something similar in power.

Good thinking, I'm ok with it when less money is spent and less hazardous to failure... thanks nonstop

Also nostop is thier away for me to place less food in the tank, however still be sure the fish are eating (Mainly concerned with the naso looking a bit skinny, would like to fatten him up before bringing him to the lfs)?

My aunt uses a syringe and slowly adds food into the tank, then waits for that to be finish, then adds more...so on until they decide to stop eating.

That method of feeding is a good one. I feed many times a day instead of one big meal. It leads to less waste. So feed small amounts frequently. Also, the foods you feed make a big difference. Brine shrimp have almost no nutritional value. Mysis are good. New Life Spectrum pellets are an absolute must have. Something veggie based including Nori sheets are also a good thing to use.
