Food types for Oscar.

You could get to making your own "super foods."

If you have a blender, you could mix some carrots, fish, meal-worms or nightcrawlers, and some type of green veggie, flatten and freeze it.

Clean water and a good varied diet with plenty of non-fatty proteins is key IMO.

I use to do that with my flowerhorn years ago, I think I might try that again. TY.

You know as well as I do that Oscars will generally eat just about anything you put in the tank (ham, frogs, a seedless grape, imitation crab mean, algae wafers, gravel, and tank mates are among things I've witnessed my old Oscar eat). Basically if you make the food as healthy as possible, you know it'll eat it, and you should see great growth. It's always good to pack 'em with protein, but you need to be sure to mix in some veggies as well.

As mentioned, for growth, water changes are the key. When I kept Oscars I only fed processed fish foods or foods they would eat in their natural environment. I would stay away from mammalian or amphibians as food because of the bone structure.
Oscars are also messy eaters and over feeding can lead to poor water conditions.
A good cichlid pellet is really all they need. Feed him small portions several times per day and keep up the water changes and he will thrive.

Ty. I see you had a 150 also that leaked.....if any one wants a 150g there's the one that I threw out like a week ago lol and it's still outside.
Has like an 18' in crack on bottom glass.

If your oscar is anything like mine, the hardest thing about feeding him is keeping him from eating the cat! Seriously though, they eat EVERYTHING. And yes WC's will make him grow huge.
